All you really need to know about me is that I love my work. I mean I really love my work.
But, if you really want to know a little bit more about me, here goes:
I was born, raised and schooled on the East Coast and moved to Oakland in 2005. Things I miss about where I am from: autumn, tomato pie, hot wings, snow days, my family. Things I love about the Bay Area: everything. I’m a mom, an avid reader, part time writer, knitter and watcher of crime dramas. I love anything and everything that makes me laugh, most especially my husband and three year old son.
I’ve been practicing massage for almost ten years and I strongly believe in our ability to keep ourselves well if we make the effort to listen to our bodies and hearts and treat ourselves right. Massage is only one, very small part of that. But it is a part I am more than happy to participate in.
I believe that a majority of us have lost our sense of balance with too much energy being focused on one area of life or another while our core selves are neglected. It is this “balance” I want my clients to achieve. That beautiful state of being where we give as equally to ourselves as we do to others. Where we can balance the responsibilities of life with the frivolity and joy of living. Where we can focus on our futures but still appreciate our now.
I offer top notch massage to melt your cares away and write the Balanced Living Blog, a weekly sharing of the the shouts and murmurs and bits and pieces that get me through my days with a smile on my face and a positive outlook, in the hopes that it will give just one person the lift or laugh or daily dose of sanity they need to help them do the same.
But enough about me, how about you? Check out my schedule and Book a massage appointment I’d love to meet you and have the opportunity to bring a little balance into your life. See you soon!
(P.S. For those of you interested in credentials: I earned my B.A. in Journalism & Public Relations from Temple University in Philadelphia, followed by my certification in Massage from The Massage Arts Center, also Philadelphia. I have been practicing massage since 2003 and am California State Certified)
